Arena Size and Questions.?
Hi,
I have been trying to convince my father to flatten an area for an arena and I want the dimensions to the size of a small dressage arena. Technically I want some where where I can practice 20 meter circles. I’m not as concerned with the length of the arena. I measured for an arena today and found out that the most space we could possibly take up is 66ft x 120ft. I can’t go any farther because of a well. The length is 12 feet less than it should be. My father thinks that it will be too dis proportioned or w/e. Do you think that its too much off or will it work? Like I said before, what really concerns me is the width.
Also, I can’t afford actual fencing for the arena. But I got an idea and of course, my father shot it out of the sky. But today, I saw someone using it, so I’ll prove him wrong!
But anyways, my plan was to use cinder blocks(just one block to simulate the height of a dressage arena) as my arena fencing and PVC pipes. How does that sound?
Thanks!

It should be fine. You may have to modify some of your exercises to account for the fact that your arena is short and the corners will come up quick, but for most schooling that is okay.
Cinder blocks and PVC is fine for a dressage arena. You could also try to paint your letters on some of the blocks.
