Collar or Brest Plate Harness and What Type of Cart for a Halflinger?
I am looking at getting a Halflinger mare and getting a harness and cart to drive her. I would also train her for jumping, dressage, and hunter.
What would be the best kind of harness for a single hitch; Brest plate or Collar? I might show her.
Also what kind of cart would be best? I might show her and I would drive her on the road.
If you want to show her in harness then i would go for a collar harness. However a lot depends on the cart you get. To start out i would concentrate on just getting her driving and would purchase a breast harness and a light gig. You can then move up to a collar harness and a heavier cart.
