@tderider just a little mark he does not doe a free walk but a extended walk. Free walk isn’t shown anymore after national level. But your right that it shows how good the rider trust his horse and the other way around.

This ride actually brought tears to my eyes. As a long time upper level dressage rider I am completely amazed at this pair….perhaps that is why his value is pushing 36 million dollars!
MAN I need more money lol
Can’t wait to see them at WEG in October!

@vixitrixalina Rollkur is a training technique (if you can call it that). You will never see it in a dressage arena, only the warm up arena. And Gal definitely uses this technique in warmup.

@platypussy79 have you watched him warmup? i was at Hickstead last July and made sure i was present in the warmup arena to take in this magnificent animal. i saw him warm up in the “long and low” outline, which is not like roll kur in that the horse is encouraged to stretch down over his back and become loose. he was not held neck-high in a rollkur position at any point during his warm up or the practise test before entering the arena.

@vixitrixalina Nope, never seen him warm up. Edward admits using hyperflexion, states he doesn’t like the public being able to watch him warm up, and was observed this year using the technique with Totilas. I can’t say much more than that. I doubt Edward would do anything to harm his horses deliberately so maybe he has learnt more about the technique and decided against using it. It doesn’t really look that way though.

He’s so beautiful, i think that the announcers are right, he does have huge natural ability. That performance, in my opinion, deserves to set the new world record!
