Hunter Jumper/dressage Horse?
hi i’ve been looking into buying a horse and i jump now, i would also like to try dressage. i haven’t jumped over 2′ because i ride a one eyed lesson pony at the moment who is getting up there in age. my price limit is up to 00 and i do understand that im not finding a grand prix horse for that price, i just want a nice horse i can grow with. im 5’5 so prob around 15.3 hh and up and im located near bucks county pa so no more than 2-2 and a half hours from there. sites like petfinder or rescues are fine..

Where I go when I am looking for horse’s on equine now, is you click on horses for sale, then go to advanced search which will be directly under it.

My tack store has got 4 bulliten boards full of horses for sale- so you should check all of your local tack stores for horses for sale in the area. Also look at stable’s (hunter/jumper/dressage) websites, they will almost always have horses listed for sale there. Also, word of mouth is great- ask your instructor if she/he knows of any horses that will suit your needs. If the horse is way over your budget, but you really want it, ask for a lease option.
