IF HORSES COULD SPEAK

DVD – If Horses could speak – the movie, which shows the results of hyperflexion and false riding. Horses do not make a specific noise when they are in pain and yet with practice it is possible to read their state of health from their face and especially their eyes. One years work went into developing the unique 3-D animation which clearly demonstrates where false riding hurts and why. Gert Heuschmann, the author of Tug of Ware, explains clearly and comprehensibly. The film makers, Hardy Martins ( Cascadeur – The Amber Chamber ), Bernhard Gassner and Pixomondo ( Jurassic park ) can normally be found in and around the world of cinema and documentary film. Dr. med. vet. Gerhard Heuschmann – he is a vet, a rider and above all a true horse lover. He is the man, who currently pours all his energy into educating riders to develop an awareness of what is really needed to make their sport more horse friendly. He is not afraid to speak up for his cause and if need be to lend the horses his voice. His book Tug of War Classical Versus Modern Dressage was published by Wu Wei Verlag, Schondorf. First released at the end of 2006 exactly one year later the revised second edition is released including an open letter to the FEI, the FN and the German horse riding authorities. Over 25000 copies have been sold to date making it one of the most successful horse books in recent years and it has so far been translated into 9 languages. It explains impressively and clearly what riders have to

    Gruselige Geschichte.

that looks cruel, why would you do that to a horse!? it is meant for walking not being hung upside down like a bat!

Super Video :-) Ich verstehe nicht, wie man das seinem Pferd antun kann . Pferde sollen doch Freund und Partner in Sport und Freizeit sein und keine Sportgeräte!

Lol, that’s so true @Aplinawine and rocky

I love horseback riding as well … whereas the only equipment I probably will use is a blanket.
Nothing else … no saddle, no bridle, no nothing.
Anything else I consider as show – on how to hide the failure of understanding a horse and respecting its nature.

@buddyfriend8 They were going to drain the blood from its body. Its a slaughterhouse. Typical people making money off of cruelty.

@horse332 It was under anesthesia. That is actually the least strenuous way to move a horse to an operating table. I’m expecting the real movie shows that they are having to fix something on the horses neck from hyperflexion.

@horse332 It wasn’t a slaughter house :| They don’t “Drain blood” like that. They hang them by a leg and cut their throat, that’s how they “bleed them out”.

Rollkur and low deep and round is not the same thing. Now I am definitely not saying some people don’t lie and say they use the LDR technique when indeed they are using Rollkur, but LDR, when used CORRECTLY and during short amounts of time do not harm the horse. Sadly, too many people see professionals using LDR and start doing it at home, without even knowing the difference between LDR and Rollkur.

LDR is a cop out. It IS the same thing no matter what. Try re-training a horse that has had LDR done to them. It’s not easy.
