I disagree completely w/egasserd8888. This horse is completely overtracking & riders position is 8 or 9. She could maybe go down one hole on stirrups however, her glute is secured & her horse will be great Grand Prix material. She is moving completely with the horse’s back and muscles. She is letting the horse do his natural gaits -her seat & hand are correct.

I take that back about the stirrups= I think to be even more effective with your seat (as my trainer said) from what I see is that your knee is too close to the kneeroll on your saddle, stretch your shin/heel down more – you should have around 1 1/2 inches space between your knee and kneeroll. It hurts however, my trainer actually held my leg during the walk. I find my trot & walk to be better-it takes about 1 year to do it automatically but it makes a diff.

I love this horse! His gaits are at least an 8, maybe a 9. I do agree that your stirrups could go up a hole, but the rider’s over all position is really good! She can really sit that trot! The horse is very forward moving and nicely rounded. Your circles seemed too large, but they were well rounded. The mini- serpentines seemed to be too short, but again, they were well rounded and the rider went all the way to X. It was a very nice test and I have no doubt that this horse can go to Grand Prix!

why were u digging ur spurs into the horse every step? that makes them pissed off! belive me when i kick the TB i lease he gets mad so i know digging ur spurs or using them every stride would get your horse to buck or kick out

Not EVERY horse is like your TB and some do need more spur than others although I do agree she could have made it less obvious and tried to use her leg before the spur becuase it can backfire in the long run

Looks like you have a sluggish horse on your hands.. I understand. Most of the horses I ride have a tendancie to be lazy and slow. Great riding, unlike some posters I think the sturriups are perfect.. you have a slight bend in your knee, which is what you want, your heels are controlled, you have complete control. And the more you train the less obvious the comands will be. Bravo.

beautiful… but your heels, especially in the free walk, were not down at all. I understand getting your horse to walk on… (my horse really needs to learn how) but you look like your pointing your toes at a few points. I would work on that great freewalk with your heels still down :)

@TexMexSweetie we’re not in kindergarten anymore, heels down no longer play the role they do to beginners, the purpose of the stirrups are to be used as a footrest, and that’s all.

I believe the rider could of done a whole lot better she was all over the saddle and not seated properly, ya the score may have been good but the horse could have moved better.

I don’t understand all of the criticism, you people are picking apart every little small detail and unless you’re a judge, I feel that it is unnecessary. Clearly this was a very well done dressage test; the horse has very nice, forward movement and the position is fine as well. Nicely done.

I’ve never seen a test ridden so beautifully! Excellent job! I hope that my horse and I will be just like you and your horse by summer!
