My Dressage Horse Has a Long Forelock, to His Eyes, That I Have Trouble Braiding. Any Suggestions?

I can braid his mane fine, but I have problems with his forelock. Also I do not want to cut his forelock.

don’t cut it – that looks dreadful. Either pull it or use a solo comb to shorten it. If you don’t want to shorten it then start at the poll and do a french braid, similar to plaiting the tail, until all the hair is included then plait to the end and roll up.
