Pessoa Saddles – Buying Tips

Rodrigo Pessoa, is responsible for the dependable and original, Pessoa Saddles. He was raised by his father’s model and at the age of 12, he captured the claim, “Champion of the Pony Class,” in Belgium. He was the by far youngest rider competing at the Olympic Games in 1992. This superstar, having conquered much, gave a brand and force to every last Pessoa saddle!

Quality Saddles

Pessoa Saddles are prepared from choice leather which have been obtained from notable European tanneries. Care is taken that nothing during the fabrication procedure will harm the environs, as these saddles are manufactured with all natural textiles. Pessoa Saddles are full in texture and coloring, tanned with chrome in a traditional process. They are loved for their extraordinary durability and amazingly perfect feel!  Pessoa will only use judiciously chosen and dependable leathers.

The engineering science behind all Pessoa products is unique, and they are all really well put together. They are prepared with two different types of panels for the customer to pick out, both of which are made to last. Every Pessoa is made with a variable gullet plate X-change system so the rider can change the width of the tree.

Size

The physical build of the rider should generally determine the width of the saddle seat. For smaller riders, a 17″ seat would be adequate. Bigger, 17.5inch seats are built for adult riders and 18in. for bigger riders. All Pessoa saddle trees are produced by DuPont, and made with special polymers which are quite flexible. Because of this, Pessoa’s never lose resistance and flexibility and they adjust just right to the contour of the animal and the rider. Even temperature changes will not affect the saddle construction. To choose a saddle correctly, you should first choose the seat size, flap size and finally, the knee roll. Pessoa’s are made through a two hundred year old tanning procedure and which is well respected among riders.

Care and Maintenance

Caring for your saddle is a skill worth learning. When left to dry, saddles may crack and harden. There are some accessories available to help extend the life of your Pessoa. Gel, or “saddle” soap, for everyday maintainance, and tanning oil which is used prior to your first mount, will supply extended protection.

Benefits

Pessoa saddles supply the rider with umpteen benefits which include comfort, flexibility, long life and strength. Compared to others, a Pessoa pony saddle is in many ways better for the environment and will outlive most others.
