Training 2 Year Old, Which Discipline?

Ok, So my baby will be 2 in January. My trainer and I will be starting her then.
My trainer says she will be a very versatile horse. Meaning I can do anything with her.

No matter what, I plan on doing hunter pleasure with her. But I kind of wanted to have her another job also. But I’m not sure what.
I wanted to start her in dressage, since my TB did dressage, but recently died this year. I also wanted her to do eventing or hunter/jumper stuff.

So Choices Are:
- Dressage
- Eventing (Show Jumping, Cross Country, Dressage)
- Hunter/Jumper

Should I just stick to hunter pleasure and dressage?
If so, should I start her normal training, or dressage training?

Here are a few pics of her.

She isn’t two yet people, calm down. Only if her maturity and growth rate continue excelling as good as they are now, is if she will be doing training.

Did I say I was going to start with w/t/c and jumping, and all that crazy stuff? No, I dont think I did. I know she is way to young for that. Chill Out. I’m not stupid.

Actual training can start at 2, as long as it is short and light. Not a long entensive work-out. I was thinking about jumping her, but not at this moment. I know she is too young for that. When she is ready for her life time job, which is at age 4, then she will start her jumping or dressage.
Because young horses need time to learn their balance and weight. Their hind end is the most important balance, that they need to learn, and usually this doesn’t happen until age 4.

So please stop with the rude and un-needed comments.
Thanks

Start her out dressage. Give her really strong basics so she can stay on her hind end. That will be extremely important in the long run no matter what you do that she can change pace easily. When she has all her basics plus some lateral work (leg yields, turn on the forehands etc.) and is at least 5 start working on her jumping.

She looks like a great fit for eventing! (:
She looks like the kind of horse that would just.. like it a lot!
I could actually see her going to dressage, but I don’t really know anything about Hunters. :)

    Good luckk!

Why are you starting her at two? She is still a baby – look at her photos; does that look like a grown horse to you? Minimum age for starting a horse with light work should be two and a half. And that is very light. Actual training starts at three and you shouldn’t even be THINKING about jumping her until she is at least four.

I think she would be good in Eventing. She looks strong, and Hunters are generally good at things like that.
I don’t think you should let other people decide however, because you know her best, and you make the call.
