Hi, Gabby- for dressage, I would have to say the various Warmblood breeds are the most common right now. This includes the Dutch, Danish, and Swedish Warmbloods, along with certain other German breeds such as the Holsteiners, Hanoverians, Westphalens. The French also have a nice breed, the Selle Francis, which is used for this too. For eventing, the main breed is still the Thoroughbred, although Irish Sport Horses and Hanoverians have been used too. The famous eventing pony Theodore O’Connor was a Connemara/TB cross. In Show Jumping, the two biggest breeds that I know of are the Hanoverian and Selle Francis, with other Warmblood breeds and the TB close behind them.

    Does that help?
