I like this one because she has good legs for jumping and she’s beautiful but it says shes been bred for a 2010 foal.
Bry- Yep I live in Ga!

and I tried looking for more dressage and jumping potential breeds but they are out of my range. Since I already have a horse my dad won’t consider spending much and i need a car lol. If you could maybe try to help me find something for under 1750 that would help me out a lot!
wow so I saw Sally and she is gorgeous. She seems like she would be a very fun project horse and has great potential. Thanks for helping me !

He is pretty and I love the fact he has blue eyes.

But to be honest, he is not a good idea for dressage and hunters. I have found that a lot of QHs have back problems when it comes to doing dressage and especially jumping as they are not designed to be jumpers. He could have a better chance in hunters, but he probably wouldn’t bo too good in dressage as he doesn’t have a good conformation for it. There used to be a QH at my barn who did dressage and he had a lot of back problems. There is also another QH at my barn that jumps, he has back problems and is also lame. I suggest you go with another breed more along the lines of a TB, Warmblood, etc, but not a QH with what you want to do. TBs make very good dressage and jumping horses as they are more flexible and tend to have much stamina. Don’t get me wrong, QHs can be very good at jumping and dressage, but from what I have seen, a lot of them have back problems in the future from the work. He is lovely, but I also do hunters and I wouldn’t buy him for that. I would move on a look at another horse. Plus, he is not really trained in english from what I have seen and also, the owners said he would be good for barrels, trails, or poles.

You live in GA? I do to.

Anyway, I really didn’t like any of those horse’s for jumping or dressage. I though you said you didn’t want to start from scratch. Well, all those horses really don’t have any real training and need a lot of work. Try looking for horses that are trained and have potential for jumpers or dressage. The kind of horses you are looking at really don’t have the kind of potential or training you need.

I went on Dreamhorse.com and thought these were some good horses for you.

She is an Appendix mare that does jumpers and is a dressage prospect. She is located in GA. I thought she was a nice horse. Price isn’t too bad. Her ID on the site: 1356231

Here is another horse, a TB, who I thought was very handsome. He is a jumper, and I’m sure with training could become a dressage horse. He is green, but has potential. If you were willing to work with those other horses, he isn’t half bad. Also located in GA. His ID on the site: 1412466

She is also a nice mare located in GA. Shows 3 foot. It doesn’t say dressage propect, but with training, could be. her ID on the site: 1378902

Cute little jumper. Might be able to do dressage. He is a QH though. His ID on the site: 1421499

She doesn’t have a picture, but sounds good and her price is lower then all the others. Only $1,500! Also located in GA. Her ID on the site: 1405873

I found that she has a video instead of a picture. She needs work on her frame and scope, but with training, she could be a very nice horse.

If you’re really serious about doing dressage, this horse will probably never be able to reach the upper levels without some difficulty.

Though, there isn’t a good conformation shot that I can look at, he has that god aweful big pad on him, which is great for riding, but frustrating for seeing his body conformation. XP

I’m a very TB or warmblood person, and I do mainly dressage with a bit of jumping here and there. I own a QH as well as an OTTB and a Oldenburg/trakehner and honestly, for dressage I would NEVER trade my oldenburg/trake for anything else. Ever. He’s absolutely built for dressage and he could easily do hunter-jumper (but I’m just too dressage oriented)

    Good luck.

I don’t know much about the English side of riding, but in my opinion, if you are serious about this, find a horse with a little more potential. I don’t think he will take you where you want to go.
    I am also 15, and I’m currently seasoning a 5yo barrel horse (:

I prefer Prince or Jingles. Honestly, I don’t know very much about dressage or jumpers.. but out of these three horses you said you didn’t want to start one from scratch and the two I listed above are the only ones that have been undersaddle. Good luck!
