What Do You Think of This Riding- Dressage. Bad Quality Sorry.?

Sorry i know the video is very bad quality. Its from a 1st lvl test 1 dressage show.

oh you figured it out- i was trying to make it seem like it wasnt me riding so i could hear the truth but woops LOL
thanks, but i asked what you thought of the riding. not the horse. thanks for spending time to type that out- but FYI the horse is lame and has many many problems- including he would hide behind the bit due to his owner yanking on his mouth with harsh bits and abusing him. So I am acually quiet pleased when he leans on the bit, but when he leans on the bit and begins to lift his back, he trips because he loosens his hind quarters causing him to feel his pain and trip.
59% IS GOOD FOR A JUDGE THAT JUDGES LOW. I was against 5 other people and got the high point champion. just FYI once again!
there 15 m circles
could you tell if he was lame??? he is extremely stiff. short stride on right side.

Not bad, your arms do look to be very ‘floppy’. You got first…so that’s gotta mean something ;)

The biggest issue to me is that your horse doesn’t seem to have much impulsion. He is very slow and "joggy" and, in fact, stumbles a few times during the first part as if he’s not paying attention. My guess is one of the comments is "needs more impulsion."

Early on, he is also above and behind the bit, a bit fussy and trying to avoid being round. He settles down soon after that and has a nice frame.

As he trots down the long side, his haunches come in off the track so he is not straight. I see this in both directions.

Many of your corners weren’t square. There should be a different when you make a corner (square) and when you are doing a circle at A or C (corners are more rounded for the circle). Work on going deep into the corners for your turns that aren’t part of a circle.

He has a good free walk with his hind feet tracking up nicely to his front feet, but still needs more impulsion at both the free walk and medium walk. He should be "marching" forward.

I couldn’t tell too much at the lengthening of trot, but the second one there seemed little or no change in length of stride into and out of the working trot.

Can’t tell how good your circle geometry is, except on the last 10 meter circle to go back down the center line it looks less like a half circle and more like you just veered off the track and merged onto the center line.

Finally, your halt was a throwaway. Your horse barely stopped moving and was not square when you gave your salute. Ride every movement right up to the end, including the transition to the halt and a nice square halt before you salute.

While first place is great, a 59% score is not all that great. That’s about a score of 5 (average) on everything. My guess is you got extra points for your horse’s nice free walk and that’s a double score.

What comments did the judge make in "overall impression?"

One easy thing that will make your whole test look better is to warm up your horse in a manner that motivates him to move with more forwardness.

But, all in all, nicely ridden.

Overall, you looked very nice. You should let your legs hang limp and don’t tense and pinch them up. You’re holding tension in them and that can actually cause your hands to bounce like they were. You should ride more off your seat than anything else, so your hands as well as your legs could be more quiet. Your horse would carry himself better if you got him moving more forward. Make sure you reach your touchpoints, especially on your circles. Those 20 m. circles were more like 18 m. circles both times. You really do look good though!

Your arms and legs are very floppy. But that could be because he’s lazy or lame or whatnot. Otherwise, you have a very nice seat!

And I’m interested, how did a lame horse get high point in dressage? What type of show was it?
