What Size and Breed Horse Would Be Best for Me?

Im 5’1" and weight about 125lbs. What size horse (or pony) would be best? Also, I want to do dressage and want a quiet, easy going horse, so what breed is good for that? thankss

here are some breeds that i think would be suitable:
    Arabian
    Morgan
    morab
    welsh
    AQH
All these breeds are really nice

You could go with a strong tall pony like a buckskin or a short but still strong horse.

    Hope that helped! :D

Quarter horse! they are generally laid back and nice movers. great for any discipline.

You can find some pretty awesome smaller Quarter Horses..

Breed doesn’t matter as much as individual temperament, but quarter horses and Appaloosas are usually quiet and versatile.
You probably want a 14-15hh horse.
    Good luck horse hunting! (:

Breed or size doesn’t matter that much, but you are pretty short so I woudn’t go over 15.2 hh. Get a horse that is at least 10+ years old. Geldings are typically less moody then mares, so if you want an easy going horse, I would look more into geldings (although don’t exclude mares).

i would suggest a tb, morgan, aqha or apha. i’m actually 5’2" at 100 pounds (yes i know i’m skinny – its health issues) and have a 14.1 hh pony. you should probably be looking for around 15.0 or higher if you’re going to grow.

well if you are done growing then i would say around 15hh to 15.2hh would be good. if you think you might grow more then you could look into a horse that is a bit taller like 15.3hh or 16hh. if you want to do dressage i would look for a small warmblood (yes they are out there) a quarter horse possibly work, morgans are nice too or maybe you could look into a welsh cobb type that would be around 14.3hh but thats probably about as short as you would want to go. but if your not looking to do upper level stuff a nice paint or appy would even be fine just find a horse you like and that you can have fun with
