    All of the above.

    I’m an H/J rider.

Ignore my wonky princess hands. It’s a bad habit.

He’s pretty fine, isn’t he? I’d hit that.

Eventing because you have to be able to do all 3 (dressage sj and xc) to a high level, so obviously it’s harder to do all 3 than just one! :L

But I don’t know about western disceplines so they could be harder still, can’t comment on them :)

ADD: @Fennec Fox, I enjoy the ZZ Top man in the background of your photo thoroughly. That is all.

For English, like someone else said: Eventing. You have to be good at dressage, show jumping, and cross country.

But one specific thing……… dressage. You have to give your cues at exactly the right time and you have to make it look like you didn’t do anything. And at the high levels, there’s a lot of other stuff you have to do (like piaffe, passage, and other stuff).
(btw, my opinion isn’t biased, as I plan to do mainly hunter/jumper)

I’ve done most disiplines, not dressage though. I’m a western rider now but I used to ride english and the most hardcore workout type disipline I’d say would be showjumping. It’s a really good leg workout and whatnot, but also barrel racing is pretty hardcore as well.

I have only really done Show Jumping, and I love it.
Eventing seems like it would be the hardest though, having to perfect all 3 diciplines. Plus, those solid jumps scare the crap out of me, lol.
But, with that being said, I do believe each has their own difficulties (including western events) and take practice.

If you do a certain one for a living then i think it would be hard..

I find dressage hard as you have to have your horse proper and yourself up to standard

    BUT

All in all i genally think eventing is the hardest for everyone as its all them together whether throughout 3 days or even just one and the jumps and training can be pretty high and challanging

Eventings tough because you and your horse have to be able to switch modes and think in a different way (like dressage is so different from xc)
I think dressage as a single discipline is the hardest for me. Its all about becomeing truly perfect and every single step in important. It feels like you are constantly working to break bad habits!

Eventing for sure is the hardest! I would like to try it but I’m not that ballsy.

edit:: For western, I would have to say barrel racing or that extreme cowboy race.

I agree with everyone who says 3 day eventing.
Dressage, Show Jumping, AND Cross Country, phew! Can you imagine how AWESOME their horses must be? :)
