Wizard and Adrienne Lyle scored 68.683 and took 1st place in the Brentina Cup — Young Rider Grand Prix Test at the 2008 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions held at the Oaks Blenheim in San Juan Capistrano, California on Saturday June 28th, 2008. Adrienne Lyle Hometown: Ketchum, ID Horse: Wizard (9-yaer-old 17.2 hand Oldenburg; Owned by Peggy Thomas) Adrienne was born and raised on Whidbey Island, WA. She was active in the local Pony Club and competed in Eventing before focusing solely on dressage. At age 16 she participated in the North American Junior Dressage Championships at Paxon Farms, Ohio. She was a member of the Silver Medal team at the 2002 Cosequin Junior Dressage Championships, and a member of the Bronze Medal Region 6 team at the 2004 North American Young Riders’ Championships. Adrienne attended Washington State University. In 2005 she had the opportunity to tour some of Europe’s top dressage facilities as part of the Dressage Foundation’s “Young Rider Olympic Dream Program”. Debbie McDonald took Adrienne on as a working student in the summer of 2005, and she soon became a full time member of Peggy and Parry Thomas’s River Grove Farm team. For the past three years Adrienne has been working with Debbie, training and showing several horses for the Thomas family. This is her second year riding “Wizard”.
